As a brother & sister founding team, we found ourselves on the simple mission of providing the home cook with the tools, content, service and education they need, at a price they can afford.Launching Brigade in 2017 and starting with an assortment made for home cooks cooking for 1 – 4 person households, we’ve kept in mind that not everyone has the cabinet space for a 10-piece cookware set. Because of that, we spent about a year working with some of the best manufacturers in the worldmaking sure we launched with a hyper-focused assortment that would fit in virtually any kitchen, but would allow you to cook how (and what) you’d like. All our cookware is oven safe, induction compatible, gas range safe, dishwasher safe, and even grill safe, really making it incredibly efficient — earning it’s real estate in precious cabinet space! Throughout our product development period, we tested, and tested, and yes, tested again. We explored material tweaks to design features and ultimately landed on The Hardware, made up of four core products, which we believe are the staple tools for essentially any kitchen. Cutting out the middlemen allowed us to provide you with the same premium products you would find in kitchen specialty stores but at half the price! Beyond our frustrations with the product, we had serious frustrations with the shopping experience. Using our backgrounds, software & marketing strategy and start-ups & ecommerce respectively, we created the experience of “building your own cookware set”. What ever 3 products you deem as your personal set, you automatically get set-incentivized pricing, adding a personal shopping experience, as we feel cooking is incredibly personal, and the tools you use should reflect that.
